If your skin becomes inflamed and itches after a mosquito bite, it’s best not to scratch it because scratching causes the skin to become even more inflamed. There are a number of things you can do after you’ve been bitten by a mosquito. Some of the most common home remedies that lead to quick relief include all of the following:

Rubbing Alcohol:  After a mosquito bites you, quickly wipe the bite with rubbing alcohol, which has a cooling effect when it dries that may relieve itching.

Oatmeal: Oatmeal soothes insect bites and allergic reactions. You can add it to a bath or make a paste by adding a little water and applying it to the area of the bite. Keep it there for about 15 minutes.

Cold Tea Bag: Tea has an anti-swelling effect that may help with the swelling. Soak a bag of green or black tea and cool it in the refrigerator. Apply the cold tea bag over the bite to ease the itchiness.
